The 37th Awit Awards, celebrating the past year in Philippine music, concluded yesterday (December 4, 2024) at The Music Museum in San Juan. Highlighting the diversity of Original Pinoy Music, the event honored a wide range of tracks, from viral sensations to radio hits, across more than 30 categories.
Lola Amour stole the spotlight, winning three awards for their 2023 hit "Raining in Manila" including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Recording.
P-pop giants SB19 also made a strong impression, taking home two awards for "Gento," (Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Best Performance by a Group), along with Josh's win for "Wild Tonight (Best Music Video)."
Adding to P-pop's success, nation's girl group BINI dominated the People’s Voice Awards, earning widespread recognition for standout tracks like "Karera" (Favorite Music Video of the Year) and "Pantropiko" (Favorite Song of the Year, Favorite Record of the Year). They also won Favorite Group Artist and Breakthrough Artist awards.
